Peace is simply a color of Love. There is such unrest in the world. The US is burning in several cities across the country where rioters and protesters have marched and burned buildings in the night after the death of George Floyd shown clearly on a video. Where a black man was killed by a white policeman.
The unjust treatment of minorities has been rampant throughout all the institutionalized systems in this country, healthcare, justice, education and employment. Right now there are two pandemics, covid-19 and minority racism and injustice.
All lives matter. Black lives, brown lives, yellow lives, white live and blue lives. People are marching in protest. Some protestors created destruction because they want to be heard. They believe peaceful people are not heard. Because they haven’t been heard. But for change to occur, there has to be peace.
Peace comes from respect. Minorities need to be treated with respect. We need to respect all people. We also need to respect our government and those that work in it. We need to trust our government and we need to change what is not working. We need to improve things. All things can be improved. There needs to be enough respect towards everyone so that we can listen to each other. The police need to respect those they are protecting and helping. The community needs to respect those that protect them. It begins with respect trust and justice.
Threats of force only escalate a bad situation. Protection needs control. Real control only comes from a sense of fairness and justice. Peace occurs in this place of trust and fairness. Control can only be pasted on a situation like a band aid. It will come off and the underlying hurt needs to be healed or it will flare up.
An Olive Branch
Peace is a color of Love. Love consists of all the colors of the rainbow. There is a lesson in that. So many religions and cultures have descriptions of rainbows followed by Peace. Peace with a dove carrying an olive branch. What olive branch can be given to the oppressed who are currently in such great pain? The olive branch needs to be in all areas. In education, criminal justice, healthcare and in employment. We need to love our fellow man. Regardless of color or age or race or condition.
Peace is simply a color of Love. All lives matter. Black lives, brown lives, yellow lives, white lives and blue lives. My Free Joy guide
